About the Bootlegger Restaurant

Allan Cosimi, owner and proprietor of The Bottlegger Restaurant, is a life long resident of Leominster, MA
who started his culinary career at the age of 21 when he opened his first coffee shop in town.
After 7 years in operation, he sold the coffee shop and  worked at a few local establishments
where he acquired the experience and skills needed to open his own restaurant.

The Bootlegger Restaurant opened its doors in May of 1995. With encouragement from friends and family and with
great acceptance from the town of Lunenburg, Allan was able to bring to the people of the area a
fine dining experience which incorporates a menu of homemade cooking by his mother, Gloria, the unique and delectable creations of
Head Chef Andy LeBlanc and  his talented, dedicated assistants.

In it’s 20 years in operation, The Bootlegger has seen many changes in not just the industry but also the community.
Menus have been updated, specialty items such as gluten free selections have been added, the restaurant has been renovated,
patio addition was introduced, and live entertainment is now featured. Through it all, the dedication, creativity,
and commitment of Allan and his staff has never waned.
Allan and The Bootlegger continue to be long time supporters of the community and the local hospitality industry including:

independent restaurant group
The Independent Restaurant Group maintains a distinctly local flavor.  The ten restaurants currently in the IRG all bring a level of regional color and style that is unmatched by other restaurants.  A unified business approach makes for an overall better restaurant experience for customers new to the  local restaurant scene. It also allows members  to reintroduce themselves to longtime residents. The Bootlegger Restaurant has been an active member of the Independent Restaurant Group since its inception.

Allan and The Bootlegger strongly believe in giving back to and supporting the local community. In addition to donating good and services for fundraisers in support of local organizations and charities, The Bootlegger was recently a proud sponsor of the efforts of the Lunenburg Police Departments effort in establishing new police K9 programs and acquiring a police dog.  Allan was pleased to sponsor months of food for “Jerry” a 17 month old German Shepherd who was imported from Slovakia.
